Islam is a natural way of life that encourages its followers to give attention to their relationship with God and His creation. Islam is against violent acts of extremism and believes in tolerance. Acts of good deeds and seeking the pleasure of God is how worshipers find true happiness and salvation. It is in this context that the word Islam was derived, from the root of the word salam, meaning peace.
About the Author
Mohamed Al-Bayati was born in 1966. He is a Muslim and a PhD graduate of the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad. He is currently an Assistant Professor for the university, specializing in political science and international studies. He is married and has two children.
