Publisher's Synopsis
Best man on a stag party, Mark Fletcher has arranged a few days in the seaside town of Glazton. There amongst the flashing lights and empty promises he discovers Sandie Ford - a local young woman working at the prize counter of an amusement arcade. When Mark asks how many tokens he would need to exchange for her phone number, Sandie tells him ten thousand in an effort to get rid of him.
Mark, along with the stag Bill and their entire party, undertakes the mission to reach that goal. Sandie's actions are applauded by her employer, Derek Reynard, who offers her a bonus if she leads Mark on, for every token earned is money spent. Feeling ashamed of her actions, Sandie attempts to find consolation in her colleague, Ruth; but Ruth - a stunning girl with her sights set on Vegas - does everything she can to support the venture, while at the same time trying her own luck with Mark. As time runs out, Sandie faces the possibility that Mark might succeed in her challenge and agrees to meet with him so they can talk away from the gaudy deception of the arcades. Glazton may represent a holiday romance for Mark, but for Sandie it is a way of life; and a life perhaps she might be willing to change. Everything depends on how determined Mark is to win the grand prize of Glazton.
