Publisher's Synopsis
A retired police officer and his wife set out from England to go to Sydney, Australia with a brief stop in Hong Kong and make a campervan trip through New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia along the coastal areas before heading inland to follow the course of The Murray River, back towards Sydney. A wholesome account of the trip as seen through the eyes of a professional observer is given of the lives of ordinary Australians, the wildlife and changing scenery in the country and a blow by blow accounting of the costs and necessary needs involved for those aspiring to make similar adventures. Colloquially termed 'grey nomads' they follow well beaten paths of their Australian counterparts experiencing true freedom and some sense of the vastness of that Country.
