Publisher's Synopsis
Keisha Lopez is Spanish-Jamaican, the youngest of six children. She hails from the streets of Brooklyn New York, caught up in that 90's East Flatbush area was hot with drugs, money and violence. Federal Agents constantly arresting and deporting Caribbean immigrants by the dozens on a regular basis. Although she has lost her father and brothers to the drug world, Keisha finds herself following into their footsteps therefore placing herself in jeopardy as a DEA target. As circumstances would have it, Keisha wants to change her lifestyle from being an out of state drug runner for her boyfriend Pablo and after her twin brothers have been sentenced for more than 5 years in maximum security. She ironically partners with the area Don, Phil to double her stash, as she wanted to score a great sum of cash to wipe the slate clean. She wears the color red all the time due to her spiritual connection with Shango. Who is her Orisha spiritual protector, one day he warns her of grave things to come. Her disregard, proves the power of the Orishas to be a strong force to be reckoned with. Keisha unexpectedly falls in love with Phil and in no matter of time the Feds came knocking.
