Lyn Caxton and Pippa, her attractive former foster girl, go to work for reclusive Viktor Wolff in his isolated Hampshire country house. But the job is a ruse. Wolff is a powerful thaumaturgist and metamorphic alchemist from the alternate reality of Albion Magna, who has been marooned in our world, who needs women he can dominate to act as his agents.
Reluctantly consenting to serve him, Wolff adjusts Lyn and Pippa's bodies to make them more passionate and sexually responsive. Then he sends Lyn through the inter-dimensional pentacle "gateway" that has been barred to him, on a quest to find the stolen key codes that will unlock it. Once in Albion Magna, Lyn finds a world of male domination, female subjugation and bondage, and android "golem" servants, who are equipped both for sex and delivering punishments to women who forget their place. Here naked thralmaids are used in public as the engines of machines, mechanical road-sweepers and living shop window dummies.
Initiated into the delights of spanking and lesbian sex with her own thralmaid, Lyn sets out on the first part of her search for the missing keys, hidden by rival mage Giles Durand. On the way, she has to submit to the perverted desires of the owner of a slave house, survive the sexual attentions of a rogue golem and couple with a ponygirl taxi maid. Meanwhile, back home, Wolff has been subjecting Pippa to weird experiments in his laboratory. Can the women endure more of such treatment and complete their quest before they become helplessly enthralled by Wolff's mastery?
