Such are the promises of the main stem of this road to the com merce and wealth of the commonwealth. Besides this main stem, routes are feasible for a branch road, diverging from it at the Horse shoe bend of the New river and extending to the Ohio river, either at Louisville or at an one of several eligible points, in the Option of the state, hi her u t at stream, which promises the same results in regard to fientuc and the Ohio valley as are promised by the main stem in regar to Tennessee and the Mississippi valley.
