After being lost for over 2,600 years the Ark of the Covenant was found in Jeremiah's Cave (Grotto), directly below where Jesus was crucified. A Roman soldier thrust his lance into Jesus' heart between the 5th and sixth rib, to make sure He was dead; And blood and water came gushing out of His side, running down over His feet into the cross hole and down through the crack in the rock, dripping onto the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Covenant. The Prophet Isaiah wrote that Jesus when He was bruised and broken would sprinkle many nations.The Ark of the Covenant had been purposely hidden there by God the Father and the prophet Jeremiah, just before Solomon's Temple was destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 BC.

Jesus is God's only begotten Son, the innocent Lamb that God the Father knew before He laid the foundations of the earth, would have to die on the cross to pay for the sins of many.
