This edition of poetry, collected from US military Veterans, all with service after 1990, reminds the reader that there is no such thing as a "typical" American soldier, just as there is no such thing as a "typical" American. Our strength comes from our diversity; both in and out of uniform. The poems that these Veterans and family members have written each has an important story to share with you.
