Publisher's Synopsis
In ancient Egypt, Prince Setne Khaemwaset uses a legendary scroll's secret to create the magical collar of the seven ankhs. The ankhs are stolen, and a riddle is set that will disclose their locations. Ramose, a Time Lord, travels to the 20th century to locate the riddle. One piece is in the Cairo Museum, and the other belongs to Vida Richardson Hardy in England. Her granddaughter, Meri, copies this fragment and discovers a formula for a magic mirror. Kenneth, Vida's grandson, identifies the second half of the riddle in Cairo. On a visit to London, he and Meri decode the riddle and venture back in time to Ancient Egypt to search for the seven ankhs.
What begins as a rescue turns into an epic tale spanning thousands of years. As events in ancient Egypt unfold, the course of the future is altered in a crossing-the-Rubicon fashion. The quest is on for the seven ankhs, and through time itself, ancient battles of light and dark, good and evil, play out, with Judith's keen eye for detail making this a gripping read.
Enriching the experience are subtle occult and magical themes which contain lessons woven throughout the adventure. This gives a sense of what it is like to see no difference between the spiritual and the profane; something the ancient Egyptians lived with daily. In this must-read for fans of ancient Egypt, we immerse ourselves in the magic, splendour, and power of Egypt and of the gods. Bill Duvendack, astrologer.
