In compiling and writing this little book, or record, no attempt has been made to have it interesting to any person except those whose names appear herein, their relatives, or friends.
My intention was to begin with the first Wrights that settled in Dorchester and Somerset Counties, Eastern Shore of the Province of Maryland; thence follow each family through their several branches to the present generation.
