Luke continues his history as a defense for Paul his first time before Nero, and in the process, leaves behind a record for the ages of the early Church. He records their early mistakes as they occasionally let flesh get in the way, what they got right, but also how God was now setting aside the old covenant for a better, more perfect way for all mankind to come to Jesus: one way for all. It was a paradigm the world of the time resisted, but did so in vain. Indeed, for it to come to pass, God had to turn the world upside -down.
