That we have them not under his own hand is indeed no won der, from what has been faid already. Be fides, as the fatigue of writing them down after he had delivered them, con/idering the multiplicity of his other engagements, was more than he could bear jo he was much more zealous to do good in the cour/é of his preaching, than dehrous of honour and the hand, to which we are indebted for a great part of tho?' in the fécond and third volumes, is unhappily di/ahled from that and other ufeful jérvices.
