The Wind that Shatters is a contemporary British Islamic thriller that tells the tale of two best friends who grow up in the U.K, Jake, a Christian (Irish/English descent), Zak, a Muslim (Pakistani descent). As the years go by after public school they take different paths, Jake joins the RAF as a Chinook pilot, Zak travels the world seeking spirituality. Eventually, they meet again on opposing sides on the battlefield in Syria. A spate of suicide bombings and terrorists attacks rock the U.K, forcing them into war with 'ISAR', the Islamic State Army of Revolutionaries, with a stronghold in Syria. The leader has created 'The New City', enticing people from all over the world to join them. Having advanced weaponry with the ability to shoot down aircraft, Coalition troops are suffering heavy losses. Hundreds of Coalition troops are being held prisoner in 'The New City', being executed weekly as a show of force, with hundreds of Yazidi slaves captured and sent to the city, forming a quagmire of death in Syria. Jake & Zak, learn life through growing up in an affluent suburb as inseparable friends, attending school and supporting each other's dreams and ambitions. Through twists of fate, they lead parallel lives that once again cause them to meet, only this time on opposing sides in 'The New City' created by ISAR in Syria.
