In issuing this Third Edition Of The Watch Adjuster's Manual, it is opportune to state for the information and assur ance of the reader, that since the work was first published only two slight errors were brought to the notice of the author, and these were of such a trivial nature that they scarcely called for correction. This fact Shows the extreme care and thoroughness with which the work was originally prepared, and is also proof of its accuracy and reliability of statement. It is also opportune here to make general acknowledgment of the letters received by the author from all parts of the world, giving assurance that the work was in truth what it was intended to be, the practical workman's standard authority.
