War of the Worlds is a classic science-fiction story of an alien invasion set in England in the nineteenth century by the wonderful H.G. Wells. There are plenty of editions available so why get this one?
The font is Verdana, sized 16 which is helpful for the visual impaired as well as Dyslexia. Verdana was chosen because it is a Sans Serif font, which makes it easier to read.
The text is justified left to avoid the river effect and has increased space between letters, words and lines to avoid crowding.
Headers have been left out to keep page numbers down but also to optimise the clean look. After all, you already know you are reading The War of the Worlds by HG Wells you don't need to be reminded each page. New chapters still start on new pages to avoid fatigue.
The pages use 'black' ink and is on 55# (90 GSM) cream paper. The text is a very deep gray and not black to be more confortable to read.
