Reader! My history will be truthfully given. It has been written with my own hand, I having been taught in an Asylum for the Blind, to write without sight. Having a poor educa tion, mostly through my own fault, my writing was, of course, imperfect, and has been put into the hands of a friend who has copied it and made some corrections. But every statement is true. Not a fact has been stated which I do not know from my own personal knowledge and observation and the best informa tion, to be true.
