When you buy a slow cooker, most manufacturers feature a Low or High setting to choose from for cooking your food, besides the on/off button.

- Pork chops
- Whole pork shoulders or pork bellies
- Spare ribs
- Celery stalks
- Carrots (sliced thickly)
As a rule of thumb, the tougher the cut is, the slower cooking time it will need to get juicier and tender-the softer or smallest it is, the less cooking time it will need after setting this on.
