Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Tyandi-Barabudur in Central Java
Several learned writers about India, especially the Dutch professor kern, have demonstrated that many of these legends, though containing much that cannot be historically true, are perfectly explainable, if they are considered to be myths, the hero of which is a sun-god; this being the case, it is quite immaterial to non-buddhists, whether these legends have or have not a foundation in history, and whether the Buddha of the Buddhists did or did not really live.
