Publisher's Synopsis
Darren Leonard's Thanksgiving was made up of frozen food and football, a dismal reminder of what no longer was. With Christmas fast approaching, he wants nothing more than to eliminate the holiday from his calendar, much as his family had been eliminated. Alone, going through the motions of what has become a meaningless life, his closest friend challenges him to the Twelve Days of Christmas, a step by step program focused on doing for others and not for himself. Reluctantly, Darren accepts. After a couple of missteps, he finds that helping others can bring its own set of challenges and its own rewards. That is until step twelve when Darren's world changes forever..
