Publisher's Synopsis
This novel is the third novel in the series. Atzerodt, Surratt and the final conspiracy novels are to follow. As an author, I value the insight of my readers. After the first trial in "The Pursuit of John Wilkes Booth and the Trial of Davy Herold" in Book 2, many readers got bogged down during the trial phase of the novel. In this novel there is less repetition in the testimony phase and the trial and overall book is much more entertaining. Also, not done before, there is a new twist as to why John Wilkes Booth went from kidnapping President Lincoln to killing him. Or, at least, most historians say he killed him. I can't wait to bring you Book 6, "The Lincoln Conspiracies." In this book there will be two questions you will be able to answer by the time you finish. The first is whether or not Lewis Powell is guilty or innocent. The second is whether or not Powell was a Confederate hero or a murderer connected to Booth enough to be found guilty in the trial.
