A schoolboy, Freddie, travels back in time. He lives a day in the life of a young boy in an Ancient Roman family of five. The story develops through the main character's eyes. He is plunged into an unfamiliar life and struggles to adjust. He relies partly on the lessons he had received at school to keep his identity safe from the people around him. Can he survive the day? A story focusing on Ancient Rome and including Ancient Roman facts. It can be used as a class reader to teach children about Ancient Rome.
