Publisher's Synopsis
It is 1971. A street football league is on the verge of financial ruin. They need money. Doctor Simon English is a history professor at nearby Howard University in Washington, D.C. (a predominately Black institution) and is a fan of the youth league. He knows where to get the money. He has invented a time machine. And though Americans cannot own gold in 1971, he plans to go back into the year 1865, Civil War, to find a long lost gold buried by the confederacy to keep it from the Union. It is his plan to liquidate the gold and turn it into American cash to save the youth league from being turned out into the streets, and bankruptcy.
