The mode which the author has pursued in working out his design, will be best col lected by the reader as he proceeds in the perusal of the volume. He would, there fore, only add, that he has not so much aimed at producing a religious treatise, as an introduction to such treatises, and an in citement, as it were, to their perusal. Al though adapted, also, for young men in the first instance, it is trusted that the work will be found applicable to other classes of readers.
