Special care has been given to the preparation and printing of the tables, with the hope of securing absolute accuracy. At a considerable cost of labor, and by wholly independent methods, the computations were all made in dupli cate; and in every case the tabular values, are true to the nearest unit of the last place. Though a few of these tables have appeared before, several are here published for the first time, and it is hoped they will prove useful to the computer.
