This is a children's story like Saint-Exupery's The Little Prince, in that adults will find meaning too. Unicorns are not a thing. But a state of innocence we all hold inside, and try to keep safe in a world that beats the crap out of us. We compromise and compromise, and often lose ourselves, our innocence, our bravery to face new challenges. Our ability to dance smell the roses, and The Tattered Unicorn shows us we will survive and, with the help of magic and friends, live to dance in moonbeams in our hearts once again.
