Publisher's Synopsis
England 1067: Briston the Weaver has been murdered - in a very peculiar way. It is up to Wat, his friend and fellow artiste in the world of 'adult' tapestry to avenge his death. The reluctant King's investigator, Brother Hermitage, will help, albeit with limited competence. Struggling through what is now a Norman country, the duo are soon surrounded by people who want them dead, who want one another dead and some who apparently want everyone dead. Throw in a bizarre weaver's guild, a Norman teenage girl with some rather modern tantrums and the whole thing is heading for calamity.
