Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Sunday School Service Book, Vol. 2: Hymns for the School
Teachers of younger classes will probably find it an agreeable and useful exercise to employ their scholars occasionally in committing to memory many of the hymns. The variety of subjects to which they refer, and the importance of the truths which they illustrate, render them, it is believed, particularly worthy of at tention in this respect. The children will sing the hymns with greater facility and interest, when they shall have thus become their language and meaning.
