The University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW-Madison) is a public research university located in Madison, Wisconsin. It was the first university established in Wisconsin and remains the oldest and largest university in the state. As of 2008, the campus library collections included more than 8.1 million volumes representing human inquiry through all of history. Throughout the new millennia, UW-Madison libraries have been digitizing materials into online collections.
The U-W Madison Open Dissertations and Theses collection contains scholarly papers made available to the public by expired copyright, or author permissions. These theses and dissertations range from 1892 - 2010 and reflect topics from Agriculture and Business to Chemistry and English, including titles like Convict Labor Policies, The Recession of the Frontier, and The Study of Muck-Raking.
