His tribe did fight to protect themselves from all who wished to do them harm. In one instance Gray Owl was away trading when his tribe was attacked by a group of their enemies, the Black Foot, the fight ended with heart break and devastation for both parties.
Follow the lives of two Indian boys, Little Horse and Traveler, from birth, growing up, getting married, growing old and living in harmony with the white people.

This is my first attempt at writing fiction. I hope you will enjoy reading. I have two other books. Mother's Six Marines and Then Now and Beyond, a story of my life. Two others I have coauthored. One, A Snail Named Slick, with my daughter Aleta and The Toughest Guy in the Bar, with my son Patrick. I served in the Marines during WW2, worked 37 years with United Airlines and am having a wonderful retirement at O'Connor Woods in Stockton Ca.
