There are those that believe the Voidlings, ancient foes of the Galaxy, existed long before the stars themselves. That they will continue to exist long after the stars are gone and that the Voidlings, like those who stand against them, are constant and unchanging. The Voidlings, however, are adaptable.
For millennia the Void Watch has stood against the tide of darkness as it evolved and adapted, ceding ground to the enemy but never giving in. Now, the Voidlings are changing again. The Watch is not what it once was.
A young Watch Marine and his companions find themselves standing against the ancient enemy, contributing what they can in the face of a Galactic threat that is once again undergoing a great change. Will the Void Watch adapt to shifting circumstances in time to face the tide? Or will the Watch become a relic of the past, a testament to the dangers of stagnation?
