This book entitled "Sound of Pena in Manipur" by Oja Mayanglambam Mangangsana Meitei is the result of his consistent research, dedication, and hard work. His devotion towards Pena is quite commendable and I, his son as well as the editor of this book would say that I have not found anyone like him who's so much dedicated and devoted into his art form. 'Pena' as we know is an indigenous instrument of the Meiteis of Manipur, and there are several other similar instruments belonging to various tribes and communities of Manipur. There has not been a book with keen research and findings on Pena although we can see several books explicitly written on songs by Pena or a brief description of Pena.
