Publisher's Synopsis

Britain is under Russian occupation, but now it's the British resistance movement to watch out for. In a disused GPO tunnel, two men face Garnett. The smaller man is a police superintendent; his name's Endicott and he likes Garnett as much as a mongoose likes a snake. When Endicott tells Garnett that there's a split in the resistance movement and he wants him to look into it, Garnett doesn't want to know. He wants to get out of the country and out of the resistance. But Endicott wasn't making a request it was an order. The head of resistance operations in the South West believes in hitting everyone and everything in sight. His deputy favours a more selective terrorist campaign. They'd parted company but now, it seems, one of the groups has sold out to the Russians.
