Publisher's Synopsis

Sir William Arrol (1839-1913) was one of the great Victorian contracting engineers. He made his name (and gained his knighthood) for the construction of the Forth Bridge, but his company was also responsible for a significant number of other prestigious engineering projects in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These catalogues assist access to both the Scottish and International material contained within the Sir William Arrol Collection, and together they constitute a complete list of the archival material within the Collection.
