Publisher's Synopsis
A longitudinal investigation of the sexual behavior and attitudes of 161 marital partners (married over 20 years) - the original data were collected between 1935 and 1955. A chapter, by way of introduction, will include (1) a brief overview of some of the previous studies of human sexual behaviour, (2) a statement of the problem investigated in this study, and (3) a description of the sample characteristics and the methodology used in this study. Several authors have covered different aspe cts of the field of sex in a cursory way - in each of the areas investigated in this study, the pertinent previous research will be reviewed in more detail in the chapter in question.
