Being in prison the last ten years was a long journey for Sandy. Her being reintroduced to the real world would be a challenge for her considering the fact that her mother was no longer living. There was no family that she could rely on to help her transition be a smooth one. Once Sandy was released, she ran into her foster brother whom she wasn't ready to see. When Slim and his wife find out she's no longer confined to prison walls, will they forgive her or will they want her to pay for all of the trouble she caused them? Sandy moves back into her childhood home and discovers secrets that her mother intended on taking to the grave. Will these secrets cause Sandy to once again become just a number to the State or will it fill her life with unexplainable joy? Sandy eventually finds a companion and wonders if her past life will cause him to run away from her or will he stay and help her work to make better choices for her future?
