About the Publisher
Since setting up Independent Thinking nearly 20 years ago, I have seen it become a leading voice in helping creative teachers in innovative schools think for themselves. At a time when education is in danger of being turned into the process by which chains of schools churn out young people with grades but little else, we need to take back the teaching profession and spread the message that educating children to think for themselves is what a real education is all about. (Do that and the grades will come anyway I can assure you.)
