The discovery in recent years of many gospels and books dating back to early Christianity has shown, beyond a doubt, that what we think of as Christianity today is vastly different from that of early Christianity. By placing passages from the Bible alongside those from the lost gospels it becomes clear that the discovery of these lost gospels not only puts the original face back onto Christianity, it allows us, at long last, the privilege of understanding what Jesus Christ was truly saying. In juxtaposing these scriptures with Bible passages, a narrative emerges which answers many questions. Questions like: Why was the early church so desperate to hide much of what Jesus taught the apostles?
