Publisher's Synopsis
On his first day of work after graduating from college, Kotaro Sawaki decides that he doesn't want to be a nine-to-five office worker on his crowded commute to work. At the age of twenty-six, he scrapes together a mere nineteen hundred dollars and decides to take a bus all the way from Delhi, India, to London. The second part of his journey, "Winds of Persia", is the author's journey to India and the Silk Road, which started by bus. Kotaro Sawaki - The most incredible thing about traveling is that it is good to have enough money, but you can only see what traveling with money looks like. In fact, the less money you have, the more you see. I think it would be better to experience poor travel while you are still young, if you can. At least when I was on the "Late Night Emergency" trip, I didn't have much money on me, so when I interacted with the local people in the places I traveled, I could feel the warmth of the people, and that's what motivated me to go on. That's what motivated me to keep going. It was quite a rewarding experience.
