The following morning we learned that nothing could be obtained in the way of food at the hotel, and there were no restaurants near; in fact we learned later they were in the same category, the waiters' union prevents their going to work before nine o'clock in the morning, therefore we always had breakfast at nine fifteen. Breakfast is usually served to you in your room, but as it was considered of advantage and a time saver to be together and talk over plans for the day, we used the dining room.
