Publisher's Synopsis
This text discusses the theme of educational change in Nigeria, constructed around the personality of M.J.P. Koledade. It is a socio-historical study anchored within the conceptual frame of an incorporation process, and is the story of a self-made man who stamped his indelible imprint on the course of his people's history during a crucial period of transition. It is also the story of a mission/church organization (SIM/ECWA) hitherto ignored by church historians, and of the little-known O'kun Yoruba people of the Niger/Benue confluence area.
