Publisher's Synopsis
The destroyers "Saguenay" and "Skeena" were the first ships built to order by the Canadian Navy and, with four other units, made up the tiny offensive which went to war in 1939. Eight near-sisters from the Royal Navy were later added and the force, the third largest allied force, made a valuable contribution to the outcome of the Battle of the Mid Atlantic.;Many hitherto unpublished photographs are used, including ones taken on board.
