Lafargue (1842-1911) was a French revolutionary Marxist socialist journalist, literary critic, political writer and activist, and also the son-in-law of Marx having married his second daughter Laura. The Right to be Lazy, his best-known work, is an essay written from his London exile in 1880. This English translation which includes additional essays was first published in 1907.
