Publisher's Synopsis
This report looks at the policies pursued by Fife Regional Council in discharging its functions in the use of voluntary and compulsory measures of care for children and in the advice given to children's hearings before they decide on or renew compulsory measures of care for children referred to them. It also assesses the extent to which the regional council's current policies meet the best interests of children at risk and makes recommendations for modification of child care policies.
