Publisher's Synopsis

Late on a Friday evening, Mathew is moving to a new house and a new job, in an area he's never visited before. He's leaving behind lots of happy memories, and a few sad ones. After an arduous drive in appalling weather, he quickly falls asleep in his new home. The following morning he is abruptly awoken by the excited shrieks of children playing. As he looks to see where the all racket is coming from, he has a strange sense of belonging here. Whilst walking around the village, he is drawn to a little used track, which eventually leads to a dilapidated, old house, called Lingsted. The eerie atmosphere of the house grips him in a trance like state, and creates surreal images of the house's former nineteenth century splendour. Hideously, terrifying screams then race towards him, and in a desperate, heart pounding moment manages to escape. After visiting Lingsted, people stop recognising him, and what now should be Sunday, appears to be Saturday! Time is becoming confusing, and believes it is connected to an undiscovered mystery at Lingsted, but what is the mystery? why was he chosen to uncover it? and will the time be released?
