Publisher's Synopsis
The Red Hawk is historical fiction focusing on the Native American character of Wabakashiek, the village he was born into, and the family he is taken in by. Wabakashiek becomes William Redskin and lays the foundation for him, his wife and their offspring to become leading citizens of a future city, Chowchilla, California. The Red Hawk mixes history, adventure and romance into a compelling tale of how the local high school's first mascot for its first century, Reddy Redskin, may have come into being.
