Excerpt from The Production of Copper, Gold, Lead, Nickel, Silver, Zinc, and Other Metals in Canada, During the Calendar Year 1911
The statistics of copper production for the years previous to 1909 as given in Tables 1 and 2 include for British Columbia a record of the copper production in that Province as collected hy the Provincial Bureau of Mines. Theodore compiled on the basin of the total metal content of the ores sent to smelters for which smelter returns were reached during the year. And these show a relatively higher copper production than the tigurcs published by the Province of'ontario. Which are based on copper content of matte produced.
