Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Printers, Stationers and Bookbinders of London and Westminster in the Fifteenth Century: A Series of Four Lectures Delivered at Cambridge in the Lent Term, MDCCCIC
The Osterley Park copy was sold in 1885 for 1950, and went to America, and after several changes of ownership now belongs, I believe, to Mr. Hoe of New York. The other two dated books are the Life of thate Noble and Christian Prince, Charles the Great, and the History of the Knight Paris and Fair Vienne. Both of these books were translated by Caxton from the French. Only one copy of each is known, and both are in the British Museum.
