Excerpt from The Plains and the Rockies: A Bibliography of Original Narratives of Travel and Adventure, 1800-1865
Thirty-three years ago Mr. Wagner published the first issue of the first edition of this work. Of this issue some forty copies were distributed and of these about twenty were recalled, leaving only a small number in circulation. A six-page folder of corrections was printed later.
The second issue, in 1921, included 50 specially bound copies illustrated with 40 photostatic facsimiles of title pages, as well as the regular edition of 350 copies without illustrations.
