Publisher's Synopsis
In The PK: My Story, Jennifer McNeal is recounting her years growing up in a large family as a preacher's kid (PK). Although Jennifer was faced with a unique set of issues as a preacher's kid, young people of all walks of life can relate to and learn from Jennifer's difficulties growing up and how she overcame them. The PK: My Story is an honest, straight-forward viewpoint, offering examples of how this PK successfully made it through her journey to adulthood. Jennifer wanted to share her story to help other young people. In a nation facing one suicide every 13 minutes, an increased number of fatalities, increased drug usage and drug-related deaths, with staggering numbers in these categories among 16-23 year olds, we need a beacon of optimism. Jennifer's desire and prayer is to influence others to tell their stories, too, so all of the messages of hope and finding victory through the difficult times of growing up can motivate this generation of young people to keep moving forward, until what you faced or are facing now will soon become a memory of your past. She wants you to understand, no matter how difficult it is living through childhood and your teenage years, those experiences are necessary in order for you to become the awesome person you were always meant to be!
