Publisher's Synopsis
Nell Goosen, 47, meets Ben Zhang, 50, at a hair show/beauty expo in Montreal. The attraction is immediate, and a one-night stand results in an unexpected pregnancy for Nell. Nell, an American who lives in Michigan, has never been married or had children, scarred from emotional abuse from an alcoholic father and her brother's suicide. She works in a factory and cares for her elderly mother. Ben is an alcoholic but has been sober for over a decade. He came from Hong Kong to live a sober life in Montreal.
